Posty's New Music Video | šŸ“ŗ Tuning In with Cinderblock TV

Post Malone, Blake Shelton, Bud Lights.. and obviously Chappell Roan

If youā€™re just now Tuning In... Itā€™s been another week of my girlfriend and I humming Chappell Roan songs all day. Donā€™t know who Iā€™m talking about? Donā€™t worry, youā€™re only 3 weeks behind the rest of the world.

If youā€™re new: Welcome to Cinderblock TVā€™s bi-weekly newsletter Tuning In, curated by me, Jake Ryan Hull, founder and CEO. If you like it and wanna share it, weā€™ve got a referral program at the bottom to earn free merch ā¤µļø

Donā€™t touch that remote because today Iā€™m covering:

šŸ» Post Malone and Blake Shelton and Bud Light
šŸŽ¬ New visualizer from Mitchell Ferguson
šŸŽ¤ Chappell Roan live on The Tonight Show
šŸ‘®ā€ā™‚ļø A-list musician getting arrestedā€¦ again

WIDE RELEASE
Posty X Blake Shelton

Ā© 2024 Mercury Records / Republic Records, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc.

In ā€œPost Malone Goes Countryā€ news, he released his single ā€œPour Me A Drinkā€ featuring Blake Shelton on Friday along with the official music video yesterday. If you love music videos that mostly fill the time with people drinking and partying next to trucksā€¦ this video was made for you. He is definitely channeling his best 90ā€™s no storyline country video with this. Last week, he announced the full-length LP country album is titled ā€œF-1 Trillionā€ and will be released on August 16th. You can pre-save it here.

NEW ON CINDERBLOCK
You Better Learn To Breathe

via Cinderblock Productions

Cinderblockā€™s frequent collaborator, Mitchell Ferguson, just dropped a new visualizer for his single ā€œBreathe,ā€ produced by the Cinderblock productions team. You may be wondering, what is a music visualizer? Itā€™s not those old-school Windows Media Player videos anymore; it's a simple way for artists to release full-length videos without all the bells and whistles. Think cool themes and simple camera work.

ā€œBreatheā€ went viral on TikTok last month, with thousands of users sharing their lifeā€™s struggles and how they've learned to ā€œbreathe underwater.ā€ Check out the full video now streaming on the Cinderblock TV apps.

THE INDUSTRY
What tourā€¦? The world tour.

via ABCā€™s World News Tonight

šŸ”— Itā€™s the summer of handcuffs, apparently. Justin Timberlake was arrested for a DWI this past week in the Hamptons, sparking the latest meme craze with his red-eyed mugshot and him muttering that this ā€œwas going to ruin the tour.ā€ In pop culture, this might feel like ancient history, but the thing that I find fascinating is that he joins a lineup of A-listers whoā€™ve been ā€˜behind barsā€™ recently. Travis Scott was arrested last week for disorderly intoxication and trespassing, and a few months ago, Morgan Wallen got in trouble with the law for throwing a chair off a roof onto a busy street. These incidents obviously range in severity, but itā€™s rare to see such high-profile mugshots make the rounds so close together.

LIVE PERFORMANCE
Chappell Roan is your new favorite artist?

via The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Going from 2 million monthly listeners to 20 million+ is a huge feat... Chappell Roan did it in 4 months. Most recently debuting on late night tv, she has taken the world by storm with her synth-pop sounds that mix the best parts of the mid 80ā€™s and early 2000s. If the music doesnā€™t get you, she is incredibly likeable. Go watch the full interview with Fallon.

If youā€™re diving into credits, it would be no surprise seeing Dan Nigro (Olivia Rodrigo, Conan Gray, Maisie Peters) served as a writer/producer on her debut album ā€œThe Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.ā€ Fun fact: the first indie band I ever fell in love with was As Tall As Lions, Nigroā€™s former band. Go listen to her entire record and start humming ā€˜HOTTOGOā€™ around your house.

BUILDING IN PUBLIC
Message from me, Jake

Like always- I will be ending these newsletters with a little Cinderblock business news. I am taking the ā€œbuild in publicā€ seriously and want to let our users and musicians know whatā€™s going on behind the curtain. This week Iā€™ve got a couple cool milestones to announce!

Firstly, we are actively hitting over 10,000 users a month across the apps. These are coming from several popular artists who have joined the platform recently along with a new ad campaign, head up by our Head of Growth, Jay.

I am also excited to say that we have officially launched on Roku. You can search for the app ā€œCinderblock TVā€ in the Roku store and start watching right now. No credit card necessary. Itā€™s the perfect way to watch/listen to music while you cook dinner tonight. The best part? No interruptive ads.

Have any thoughts about the Cinderblock app or this newsletter? Reply to this email with good OR bad feedback. I promise I can take it.
